How to express my emotions when I don’t know what is happening to me?
How are people going to react to my mental state?
Why am I the chosen one for this mental torture?
Why do things go against my expectations despite giving my best shot?
The worst part:
It becomes hard for others to understand your problems.
What is the solution?
Why must you share your depression stories?
As you have gone through the same disturbing path or facing the mental torture, you understand how it does feel. So, motivate others by sharing your battles and victories. Be an inspiration.
Personal stories have the healing power to unite people with the same issue. It gives them the push to move forward despite the difficulties with a belief ‘I’m not alone.’
Being a mental sufferer for more than ten years, I have realized the power of sharing:
In sharing, the giver receives more than the receiver because some things in life can’t be measured in monetary terms only.
As I have expressed my vulnerable state in public, I receive emails thanking me for my courage, believing my story is going to impact so many lives, boosting me as they get teary-eyed after reading my story, and promising me to share my struggle with their loved ones.
My story not only helped others but gave me hope in life’s dark tunnel. You can’t even imagine the positive impact of your warrior story.
Who can contribute their personal stories?
- The warriors who want to share their challenges and triumphs in recovering from depression and anxiety.
- The warriors who are going through depression, anxiety or a related disorder.
If you have a story to share, a story about your real life experiences in overcoming your mental struggle, story expressing your current mental state, don’t just keep it yourself.
My ten-year mentally traumatic journey gave birth to Positive Fountain. I was diagnosed with the major depression. I didn’t give up and continued my struggle. Though I still face depressive phase on a regular basis, I have realized the source of my positive fountain. Now, I don’t want others to go through the same pain and want to remove the social stigma associated with mental health.
For spreading the message, I need the help of WARRIORS.
